- JSON objects is confirmed by three answers from three kinds of task, none with help.
- HTTP methods has two answers, and one used a hint, so it needs one more on your own.
- net/http handlers opens once the topics before it are confirmed.
How your path is made
You say what you want to build and what you already know. purepath picks the topics and their order, sets aside what you know, then writes the first lessons and tasks. Each task is checked before it reaches you.

net/http handlers
Lesson
A handler is a function that reads a request and writes a response. net/http calls it for every request that matches its route.
- UnderstandingWhich argument does a handler use to write the response?Solved in a separate run that never saw the answer
- ExplanationExplain why two requests can run the same handler at once. Its criteria were tried on good and weak answers
- ApplicationWrite a handler that answers every request with the text pong. Its reference solution passed its tests
An example. Your path comes from your own goal and what you know.
How a skill gets confirmed
Reading a lesson or asking the tutor moves nothing. The answers you write do. Code runs in the browser in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Rust, Java, Kotlin, C#, PHP or Ruby.

Task 3 of 3 · Application
Write a JSON object for a book: its title, the year it came out and a list of its authors.
answer.json
It gets checked
Waiting for your answer
Your answer meets the requirements.
- The title and each author are strings in double quotes
- The year is a number, not a string
- Authors is an array, even with a single author
Code is run against tests, and an explanation is judged on its meaning by an AI evaluator.

Questions people ask first
- Do I need a subscription?
- Not to start. Every account gets 7 days free with everything included, and no card is needed. To keep learning after that, subscribe for $12 a month or $96 a year and cancel any time. Your progress stays saved either way.
- Where do I start?
- Type what you want to build at the top of this page, or create an account and do it there. You choose frontend or backend, and your path starts with the first skill that goal needs.
- How is knowledge confirmed?
- Independent results provide evidence for a skill. A skill is confirmed after successful answers from different kinds of tasks, including an explanation and a solution of your own. Reading a lesson, asking the tutor or saying you know it does not confirm it.
- I already know some of this. Do I start from zero?
- No. Tell it what you already know when you set your goal. Those skills are marked as likely known, and your own answers confirm them.
- Can I learn at my own pace?
- Yes. Your goal and progress are saved to your account, so you can return to your path and continue when you are ready.
- Which languages can I use?
- Purepath speaks English, Arabic, Turkish, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish: the interface, lessons, tasks and feedback are in your language, and the tutor answers in the language you write in. Code stays as written.
